The engineering program at San Jose High School (SJHS) is based on the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum. To find out more about PLTW, click here. At SJHS in San Jose, California, Project Lead the Way was introduced in 2007 is growing each year. By the 2013-2014 school year, SJHS will be an IBCC school. We offer five PLTW classes: two foundational courses, Introduction to Engineering Design and Principles of Engineering, and three specialization courses, Digital Electronics, Biotechnical Engineering, and Engineering Design and Development/IB Design Technology. With SJHS being in such a close proximity to the world's technological brain, Silicon Valley, we are able to offer PLTW students real-world applications and ignite their imaginative spirit with a hands-on approach. During the 2012-2013 school year, SJHS will be applying to be a Nationally Certified Engineering (PLTW) school.
